The Zombies Games: Reminds Me of Home
IJM1797

The heroes have just arrived at the 3rd level and are ready to kick some more zombie ass. What will happen in this chapter of the story? Just read to find out.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, here we are" said Ian looking around at the building they were in.
"Yeah but, where exactly is here anyway" questioned Mike.
"Looks like we are in some sort of swamp, and by the looks of it, somewhere in Japan" Leanne said noticing the building's structure and the writing on the crates.
"Oh this is just bloody great. We get stuck in a humid swamp, God knows what lurks out there, other than zombies, and what kind of parasites and diseases there are" Louis said disgusted by the fact of the bugs that infest these kinds of area.
"I don't know, it kind of reminds me of home" said Ian referring to his home in the south eastern United States. "Anyway back to business. You know the drill, shoot any and all zombies till they are dead, got it".
Every locked and loaded as a response. They each took position at a window and let loose with their weapons.
A few waves later on wave 5 they go downstairs to find the mystery box right there. They each got a weapon from it. Ian a PPSh-41, Leanne an M1919, Louis a Type 100, and Mike was the luckiest one of the group, the Wunderwaffe DG-2.
"Holy hell I think I just hit the jackpot" Mike said looking happier than a kid in a candy shop.
"Yeah just be careful with that thing, k. You don't know what it is capable of" Ian said highly aware of the DG-2's power.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got it, I got it" said Mike as he took aim at the last zombie. He fired it and discovered what it does. IT SHOOTS LIGHTNING. "HOLY SHIT THIS THING IS AWSOME!!"
Suddenly, as the next wave started, they heard a low rumbling noise and a thick fog rolled in.
"Oh, this is not good" Ian said in a worried voice.
"Why what is it?" asked Louis.
Suddenly a ball of lightning formed and something came out of it. A Hellhound. Ian shot it only for another to 'spawn' in its place and they kept coming. Ian had to run from one chasing him.
Suddenly Mike shot his DG-2 which killed the hellhound but it also hit Ian, giving him a shock but not killing him.
"AAAAAGGGGGHHH!!! You damn idiot, I told you to be caref…." but before Ian could finish he noticed his temper wasn't the only thing affected by the DG-2's thunderbolt. He noticed it had hit one of his pokéballs. Suddenly his Snivy came out unannounced.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now to let you know Ian had created something for each of their Pokémon, a translation device. It was a very thin wire collar resistant to any force mankind and mother nature had to throw at it. It allowed for them to understand what their Pokémon are saying. Ian's, Mike's, and Leanne's Pokémon all had said collars. I thought you should know this before the story continues so you don't bust my balls for making Pokémon talk. I wanted to have them talk in a scientific way. Now back to the story.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ian tried to call her back into her pokéball but it's electronics had been fried. Everyone was shocked at what had happened. Suddenly Ian noticed a hellhound headed for Snivy.
"SNIVY LOOK OUT!!!" he yelled but only in time for he to turn her head and get jumped on by it. Ian immediately jumped on the hound and wrestled it to the ground. He then pulled out his knife and proceeded to cut the dog's head off. "Filthy son of a bitch. Now stay in hell where you belong". He walked over to snviy and picked her up. "You OK girl?" he asked mentally praying she wasn't hurt.
"I'm OK." she responded in a soft, soothing voice.
"Thank God" Ian said holding her close in a tight hug-like embrace.
"Glad she is OK, but she can't fend for herself and we might not be able to help if we are all preoccupied" said Leanne. Suddenly a grin appeared on her face as she had come up with a risky, yet somewhat ingenious plan. "Mike, can I talk to you for a moment, in privacy".
"Um, oka… hhey!" said Mike as she pulled him off to the side to have her chat with him.
"You do know what me and you both gotta do, right?" she said as if Mike already knew.
"No, I don't. What is it?" questioned Mike now even more confused.
Leanne pulled out her pokéball containing Minccino. Mike suddenly realized what she wanted them to do so he pulled out his pokéball holding Quilava. They both called out the Pokémon they had chosen and quickly briefed them.
They returned to Ian and told them what they wanted to do.
"Ian, maybe leaving Snivy out could be beneficiary. Considering the zombies won't go after her and she can use her powers to help us fight. Thinking that through we each called out one of ours to help. Hope you are okay with that" stated Leanne explaining to Ian the plan.
"*sighs* OK, I'll agree to that. But only if Snivy is also okay with it. Well, how about it girl, you in?" Ian said now looking at Snivy.
"Yes, anything to help" she said as she gave a grin of interest.
"Alright, it's settled then, they can help us. Lets get moving." Ian stated before motioning them all to follow.
"Yes sir" Mike stated as he followed.
"Got it" Leanne said as she also started to follow.
Later, at about wave 25, they all had moved to different positions. Now not only were zombies coming after them, but hellhounds at the same time too. Leanne was shooting her mg while Minccino was using thunderbolt to shock the zombies to the point where they caught fire. Mike was shooting his flamethrower while Quilava was using it. Ian and Louis were holding out in the Comms Room while Snivy used leaf blade to quite literally cut through the zombies.
"Burn mother fuckers, burn!!" yelled Mike still shooting his flamethrower. Quilava noticed a couple of zombies coming up behind Mike and quickly burned them before they could attack him. "Thanks buddy, I owe ya one".
"Don't mention it, what are friends for" said Quilava in response to the somewhat unnecessary thanks before getting back to the task at hand.
"On your right" Louis warned to Ian.
"Got it" said Ian in reply before firing his weapon. He promptly cut them down to shreds.
Snivy was behind them making sure none snuck up behind the 2. She sliced right through about a dozen coming up behind them, causing a bloody mess on the floor.
Onto wave 50. They have all regrouped back at the main building. They were getting swarmed by zombies and hellhounds alike. Though the DG-2 would come in handy at this time, Mike was afraid to use it since the incedent where he hit Ian.
Ian finally convinced him to use it. He shot it till he had to reload, but each shot caused an electric surge that passed through about 10 zombies and 5 hellhounds absolutely clearing the way.
"Come on, lets go. If we stay here any longer we are dead" Ian said running for it. They headed out the front area towards what seemed to be a fishing hut. Ian told them to go on while he stayed behind and did something. He had noticed a large device that looked like a couple of spiked logs on the end of a centripetal mechanism. He also noticed a switch similar to some he saw at the previous level. He hit it and the thing started to move. As the zombies approached him they were hit by the thing and sent flying. He made his way to the hut where he regrouped with the rest of them.
"What the fuck was that?" asked Mike completely flabbergasted from the trap's power.
"I have no absolute idea, but it held them off for a bit" replied Ian.
"Uh, guys, their coming!" warned Louis seeing close to 100 zombies headed for them.
Again, Ian noticed another lever similar to the previous one. He then saw a group of coils hanging from the top of the doorway. He then remembered from when he played the game as a kid. It was a trap known as an electrical barrier. "Guys, get back, I have a plan" Ian said putting his hand on the activation switch holding to wait for the right moment. Right as the zombies were about to entered the building he yelled, "Burn in hell you mother fuckers", before hitting the switch activating the trap.
The zombies ran into it getting electrocuted to the point where they caught fire. The 7 watched as they witnessed the smoldering heap of death piling up in the doorway. "HOLY SHIT!" yelled Mike at the site even more amazed than he was when he saw the zombies get launched by the trap activated earlier.
"I just hope this place doesn't catch fire" said Leanne slightly worried.
Suddenly the trap stopped and everyone was relieved from the break they were given.
Now it is wave 85. Mike and Louis had gone one way while Ian, Leanne, Snivy, Minccino, and Quilava had gone the other. Mike and Louis were holding up good until they ran into a little snag. THEY RAN OUT OF AMMO!
"Shit! What now" Mike said as he tried to think.
"Might I make a suggestion" asked Louis a worried look on his face.
"Yeah, what" said Mike.
"RUN!!" yelled Louis as he bolted out of the building dodging zombies every which way.
"That I'll agree to" said Mike as he quickly caught up to Louis.
They ran from the zombies and hellhounds until they hit a dead end.
"Aw, crap, not again" said Mike remembering what happened the previous level.
"Yeah, except this time Ian and Leanne aren't anywhere to be found" pointed out Louis.
They both closed their eyes and looked away ready to be torn to shreds for sure this time. Suddenly they each felt something weird around their upper torso and under their arms. They looked down and noticed a green vine wrapped around them. They noticed it led to the ceiling so they both looked up and found the source. It was Snivy. She was in what appeared to be an attic of sorts looking down from a hole in the ceiling/floor. But she wasn't alone. With her were Ian, Leanne, Minccino, and Quilava.
"Alright now pull them up" said Ian to Snivy while he was holding her waist to keep her steady and from falling. "Alright the rest of you guys ready?" he asked to the other 3 who were lined up behind him holding the waist of the one in front of them.
"Ready" said Leanne who was holding Ian's waist.
"Ready" said Quilava who was grabbing onto Leanne's belt.
"Ready" said Minccino who was holding Quilava's waist.
"Alright. One… Two… Three… PULL!!!" said Ian to the others as he started to pull in sync with Snivy.
Everyone else pulled in sync a quickly got Mike and Louis out of the way of the zombies before they could attack.
"Nice work. You two okay" said Ian.
"We are a bit shaken up considering that was the second time this happened, but otherwise we are fine" said Louis happy to still be alive.
"Good. Now let me be clear now. We gotta stay together from now on, k. I don't wanna lose anyone." Ian said slightly concerned for the sake of his team.
Now we are at the end of the final wave. As usual they are all in the starting area. They are pretty much back to back to hold off the zombie swarm. Finally they kill the last of the zombies and the portal opens. They enter it and head to the next location, not knowing what to expect this time.

I was wondering when their teams would come into the story! I just figured I'd comment on the latest one instead of eveyone. I'm very much enjoying this story, though I wish I was more familier with COD maps xD
